Frontside Lipslide

Information:
This slide is a fair bit harder than a backside boardslide, but isn’t too hard. Before you try this trick you should know how to backside boardslide and frontside 180.

Description:
The skateboarder rides with his/her chest and toes facing the obstacle. He/she jumps up and the board comes with him/her. He/she turns 90 degrees frontside and lands with the middle of the board on the obstacle. He/she slides until the end of the obstacle and then turn the board back so that it is in position to land. He/she lands on all four wheels and rolls away.

Technique:
1. Find a slideable rail, ledge, box or whatever. It’s probably easier to slide a rail (I don’t mean a handrail, just a flatbar) so you might want to try that first.

2. Ride up to the object like you’re going to do a frontside 50-50 on it.

3. Ollie and once you are above the object, turn 90 degrees frontside so that the middle of your deck lands on the rail. That’s the hard part, so keep practicing it.

4. Keeping your legs bent and staying sort of low will help you keep your balance.

5. Once you get to the end of the object come off as you normally would for a boardslide.

6. Land and ride away.

Additional Help:
Problem: I can’t ollie and turn onto the object. I always ollie, turn, and land beside the object, or just barely on it.
Reason: That’s the hard part of the trick. It will take practice.
Solution: I’m not too sure how you can learn this part. Just focus and keep practicing.
