Frontside Feeble Grind

Information:
The feeble grind is a variation of the smith grind that I actually find easier to do than the smith grind. Before learning this trick you should know how to 50-50. Being able to smith grind will help too.

Description:
While rolling the skateboarder jumps and the skateboard comes off the ground with him/her. He/she lands with the hangar of the back truck on the obstacle. The rest of the board hangs over the other side of the object with the rail (the side of the deck) touching the object to help balance. He/she continues to grind until the end, pops off, lands on all four wheels, and ride away.

Technique:
1. Find a grindable rail, ledge or whatever. It would probably be easier to learn on something like a low box or a ledge, not a rail unless you are really comfortable on them.

2. Push a few times and get rolling. The faster you go, the longer you’ll be able to grind for.

3. Ride parallel up to the object you’re going to grind with your feet as you would have them an ollie.

4. Bend your knees and pop your tail. Ollie up and over the object like you were going to 50-50 or 5-0. Make your back truck land on the rail, but push the rest of your board over the other side of the object and let your rail (the side of your deck) rest on the object.

5. Grind as far as you can then push down on your tail to lift your front truck off the object and use your front foot to guide you back so that you board is straight for landing. 6. Land back on the ground on all four wheels. Ride away.

Additional Help:
Problem: I’m too feeble to get my board onto the object and grind.
Reason: You’re out of shape, need more practice, or were just born that way.
Solution: Start calling this trick an “Easy Grind” instead of a feeble grind. You’ll learn it almost instantly then.
