Ollie To Manual
Description:
The skateboarder jumps into the air with their board, then lands on only the back wheels and continues to ride.
Technique:
1. Push a few times to get rolling at a comfortable speed.
2. Put your back foot flat across the tail, and put your front foot in a comfortable ollie position. Unless you are ollieing up something high you might want to place your front foot a little closer to the bolts then usual.
3. Pop an ollie, but instead of sucking up your legs really high to even out your board, keep the board uneven with the front end raised.
4. Land on your back wheels with your back foot applying pressure to your tail. Use your front foot to keep the board balanced.
5. Now just balance and ride. There is no special trick to this. It just takes a lot of practice.
6. End the manual whenever you want, either by just putting your front wheels down, riding off something, or trying to pop out.
Additional Help:
Problem: My tail drags when I land and ruins my manual.
Reason: You are putting too much pressure on your tail when you land.
Solution: An ollie to manual is a delicate trick. You need to try to land gently, distributing your weight over the board. Too much on the front or the back and you won’t make it far.
