Backside 180 Heelflip
Information:
The backside 180 heelflip combines both the backside 180 and the heelflip. Be sure that you can do both of those tricks easily before trying the backside 180 heelflip.
Description:
While rolling the skateboarder jumps and turn his/her body and board 180 degrees backside and the board is flipped by his/her outer toe and heel.
Technique:
1. Push a few times until you are rolling at a good speed.
2. Place your back foot flat across the tail and your front foot flat across the board, around the middle and the front truck bolts.
3. Bend your knees and wind your shoulders as you would for a backside 180. Pop the tail and push outwards with your back foot to get the board rotating backside. Slide your front foot up the board and off the corner of the nose to get it to flip easily.
4. Keep your legs up high as you turn your body backside to give the board room to flip.
5. Catch the board and push down evenly to land with all four wheels.
6. Land riding switch and roll away smoothly.
Additional Help:
Problem: I can’t flip the board and do the 180. It’s too awkward.
Reason: Your foot is getting in the way.
Solution: This trick is pretty weird to learn. It just happened one day that I could do it. Maybe you’ll be lucky too and figure it out because I can’t figure out how I do it.
