Dave Carulli’s Solo Session
Not much skateboarding, but still a strong montage from Dave Carulli.
EDIT: You guys killed Dave’s bandwidth, so the link temporarily points to a flash version on Skate Perception. I’ll be adding a quicktime version to the site soon.
Stumble it!

Dave, what camera did you use? Did you just set up the camera for the skating bits, or did you have someone film it?
Skating was good, actually. I see that a lot of people tend to miss the point of such videos. They are not to show off skating, it’s other artsy side of filming, music, and editing. Pretty much conveying the serene feeling is what that was going for, and as far as I am concerned, it did the job. Good job.
Also, I loved the contrast between the yellow leaves and the bright blue sky.

First off, I’d like to thank whoever is responsible for posting this. I’ve never been to this site, but it’s always very nice when someone gives free exposure to my work - thank you.
Secondly, there’s a reason the skating sucked - it was ME skateboarding haha. I was completely alone when I filmed this.
Thirdly, this was shot with a DVC30 on “frame mode” then slowed to 80%, yielding “fake 24p.” Go to http://forums.skateperception.com/index.php?showtopic=148181 for more details, and also visit my whole portfolio http://davecarulli.sitesled.com.
Lastly, this link completely dominated my bandwidth for my site. Would it be ok if the person in charge switched the link up to this version: http://skateperception.com/viewvideo/2941/. Thank you so much in advance, I’ll keep doing my best.
